





Gorg Chand is a storyteller who specialises in Epic tales from the Indian classics such as, the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, traditional and local tales.
Gorg’s unique retelling of these takes you into a world inhabited by such amazing characters; as Sheshnaag, the mighty serpent god who gave man voice, Goddess Parvati, the graceful, beautiful and eternal consort of Shiva Ji, Lord of Transcendence.
A world of mighty heroes, wise sages, tales of cunning, wit , fables and morals. These are timeless tales that are still relevant today.


Gorg firmly believes in exploring the many versions of these epic stories that co-exist all over India and even seep into folklore or spawn localised myths and legends, such as, the old city of Calcutta translates to ‘the Kingdom of Kali.
He has been hearing and retelling these fascinating stories for most of his life. Gorg has performed at storytelling venues such as Festival at the Edge, Beyond the Border in South Wales, The Storytelling Cafe Tour, The Millennium Centre in Cardiff, The National Arts Gallery and many more...
